FAMILY ASSISTANCE SCHEME

Family Assistance Scheme/Rehabilitation grant is provided to the bereaved wives/next of kin of the deceased Air Force personnel. The grants are categorised on the basis of the personnel's categories (Officer, Airmen, NC(E)). The amount given to each category is listed below.

FAS-97

Applicable for AF personnel who are in service on 01 Apr 97.

Death in Service

For 15 years

Death after retirement (min 20 years service required)

For 8 years

FAS-09

Applicable for AF personnel who are in service on 01 Apr 09 or later and have contributed revised rates of FAS.

Change of Address

In case of change of address the Widow/ NoK should send an application letter to this organisation, mentioning the new address.

  • Guidelines for Death Intimation

Widow/ NoK has to intimate the death of the personnel through a written application, at this organization along with a copy of Death Certificate attested by First Class Gazetted Officer.

Widow/ NoK should also send Death Certificate in original to Dte of Air Veterans, Subroto Park, New Delhi- 110010.
