IAF MASTER WARRANT OFFICER

MASTER WARRANT OFFICER SATISH KUMAR SHARMA

MWO SK Sharma was enrolled as an Electrical Fitter tradesman in the Indian Air Force on 11 Mar 1983. Born on 08 Dec 1965 in Meerut, he did his initial schooling at various schools at Jhansi, Yol Cantt, Bangalore and Meerut.

He has a vast repertoire of knowledge and experience on various aircraft and systems like Arrester Barrier System, Airfield Lighting System, II Line Servicing of M-2000 components and C-130 J Super Hercules. He was specially selected and trained at OEM facilities abroad for the C-130J at Arkansas, Rhode Island and Atlanta in USA. He earned the skill level USTAD in Airfield Lighting System.

During his long and illustrious career he has been posted across the wide expanse of the country at IAF bases like Sirsa, Pune, Chabua, Gwalior, Udhampur, Bidar, Hindon and Naliya. He has been a part of the team that participated in Exercise Indradhanush-IV along with C-130J aircraft in United Kingdom in 2015.

His hard work was appreciated and rewarded with commendation by the CAS in Oct 1997 and by AOC-in-C, EAC in Jan 1998.

He is married to Mrs Darshan Sharma and has two sons and a daughter. His elder son Lieutenant Rohit Sharma is a commissioned officer in the Indian Navy, likewise the younger son Captain Mohit Sharma is in the Indian Army. His daughter Ms Tanisha Sharma is school going.
